TRS Thick Poha
Also referred to as Poha, Poha is rice that has been parboiled then rolled and flattened which yields different sized rice flakes. These flakes absorb water quicker than standard rice and are often used to make variations on rice pudding.
In the Western states of India, Poha is a staple breakfast ingredient. In dishes like Aloo Pohe (Maharashtra) and Batata Poha (Gujurat), onions and potatoes are mixed in with spices and poha to result in a breakfast of champions of sorts. For something a little lighter, use your medium Poha rice flakes to make Idli (a light rice cake) or Dosa (South Indian pancake).
